1. What is Kounta?

If you need to scale back in a quiet period, simply adjust your plan to meet your needs.

3. Can I try Kounta on for size?

You absolutely can! Setting things up on our Lite plan is simple and free. When it comes to trading, we don’t lock you in, giving you the flexibility to upgrade to a plan suiting your needs for as long as you choose to use it.

4. How do I get help if I need it?

Depending on what works best for you, we have options below.

KTV is a free resource for on-demand training and showcase videos, allowing you to learn what you need to know, whenever you want to learn it.

The Kounta Support Centre is jam packed with guides for setup and troubleshooting and like KTV can be accessed whenever you need it.

5. How long does it take to get Kounta up and running?

That all depends on how complicated your setup is and if you have all the hardware you need.  If you’ve got a simple inventory and you’ve got all your hardware, we’re talking minutes using our setup guides.  Otherwise, the longest part is going to be the hardware getting to you. You can set Kounta up on any web-connected device while the hardware is in transit, though, meaning as soon as it arrives, you’re ready to go.

6. Where can I get Kounta compatible Hardware?

If you’re looking to set Kounta up yourself and simply need to grab some gear, you can go to a number of online hardware marketplaces like Kounta Connect in Australia that specialise in Kounta compatible hardware. You can find local hardware marketplaces through your Kounta account in the Kounta Partner Listing by clicking the Hardware tab.

7. How much does Kounta cost?

The best place to get this information is the Kounta pricing page. On the pricing page, you’ll see a breakdown of our plans and inclusions starting with a free plan called Kounta Lite which is great to start setting up. Paid plans start from as little as $50 a month.

8. I already have all my information in another system, how do I get it across?

Your Kounta account comes with a simple and free bulk import option for inventory and customers.

9. Is there anyone to help me set Kounta up?

10. Kounta is online. Is it safe?

Yes! We use industry standards like HTTPS and SSL for encryption and server certificates for communications. Kounta servers are hosted at Tier III, SSAE-16, or ISO 27001 compliant facilities. These are the same methods and facilities used by banks and credit card companies to safeguard all your data.

11. What can I run Kounta on?

Kounta has been built to work on any web enabled device. This includes, but is not limited to, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Mac, Windows, Android tablets, Android phones and even the CommBank Albert smart EFTPOS terminal. For a full breakdown check out the what can I use with Kounta video on KTV.

12. What if the internet drops out or gets disconnected?

To cope with the demand of different types of businesses all over the world, Kounta has been built to run online or offline. When offline you still have access to core selling functions and all your sales information is securely stored locally on your device, once back online it is automatically synced with the cloud. 13. Where can I get Hardware to run Kounta?

The best place to get hardware is through a Certified Kounta Partner.  You can find one at our Partners page.  Otherwise, we know a guy with a truck full of this and that. We can put a word out for you.

14. Where is Kounta Based?

Kounta has its HQ in Sydney, Australia and offices in the US, Asia, Africa and Europe. We also have a network of Partners spanning the globe. To find a local partner head to our Partner Listing within your Kounta account.

15. Why is Kounta using ‘The Cloud’?

We’ve all been using the cloud for the last 20 years for dozens of things: email, banking, bill paying, social media, ticket buying, movie streaming, the list goes on. The cloud isn’t anything new, just the term is. What’s new is the accessibility and affordability of remote computing and the benefit it can now give to any business. Any merchant can access any report or sales figure at any time, anywhere, everything is stored safe and secure so no matter what happens in your venue, your data is safe and if a piece of hardware lets you down you can simply replace it by logging in.
